Creating and managing your Planning Public Access account
View a planning applicationAnyone can use the Planning Public Access search tool to view planning applications. This can be accessed via the button at the top of the page.
To take advantage of all the features of the system like saving searches and tracking applications you will need to create a user account and log in.
Register
- Open Planning Public Access search tool.
- Select 'Register' on the menu bar
- Enter your personal details by filling in the 'Title', 'First Name' and 'Surname'
- Enter your email address - you will be asked to do this again to confirm that it is correct
- Enter a new password - it must be minimum 5 characters long and must not include spaces
- Enter your new password again to confirm that it is correct
- Click on 'Next'
- Enter your 'Postcode' and then click on 'Next'
- Select your address if it is on the list and then click on 'Next'
- If you address is not listed, select 'My address is not on the list' and click on 'Next'
- Enter your address details in the appropriate fields then click on 'Next'
- Click to read the 'Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy' that apply to use this site the tick the check box to say that you agree to them
- Check your personal login details are correct and click on 'Next'
- You are now registered but will receive an email to requesting final confirmation that you wish to create an account
- In the email click on the link to complete the registration and be returned to the Planning Public Access search tool.
Log in
- Open Planning Public Access search tool from our website
- On the home page click 'Login'
- Enter your user name and password and click 'Login'
- Your name will now appear next to the 'Logout' button on the home screen to show that you are logged in.
If you have forgotten your password:
- Click on 'Forgotten Password Link'
- Enter your email address and then enter a new password twice then Click 'Save'
- An email will be sent to you to confirm you have requested to use a new password
- Click on the link in the email
- You will now be able to log in to your account with your new password.
My profile
When you have created your user account and logged in to the Planning Public Access search tool you will be able to change your personal details and manage your saved searches and tracked applications.
- Go into the Planning Public Access search tool and log in to your account
- Select 'My Profile' from the menu bar
- Select the 'Profile Details' tab.
If you wish to update your password:
- Click on 'Change my password'
- Enter your email address and then enter a new password twice
- An email will be sent to you to confirm you have requested to use a new password
- Click on the link in the email
- You will now be able to log in to your account with your new password.
If you wish to update your details:
- Click on 'Update' my personal details
- Make the changes you require using the 'Next' button to click through the stages.
Log out
When you have finished using the Planning Public Access search tool, remember to log out using the 'Logout' button on the menu bar.
Deleting, creating and managing your Planning Public Access account
You will not be able to delete your account yourself. Please email mapping@hastings.gov.uk with the subject 'OPT OUT of Public Access' if you would like us to delete your account. You need only provide your email address. Please do not provide any personal information. We will let you know when we have deleted your account.
Why have I stopped receiving emails from Planning Public Access?
There are a few likely reasons:
- There have been no changes made the searches you have saved or applications you have tracked
- They may have gone to your junk email
- Your email notifications may have grown too large. Go to Managing email notifications to resolve this issue
- You have stopped tracking an application or deleted a saved search. Go to Managing saved searches and Managing tracked applications to check this.
