    Important dates

    Application received date

the date we received the application from the applicant or their agent.

    Application validation date

Not all applications are valid when we receive them and we have to ask for more information. This is the date that we have received all the information required and the application is considered valid. This is the start of the statutory time period that we have to decide the application.

    Expiry date

This is usually the same as the Statutory expiry date. However an extension of time may have been agreed. Please see Statutory Expiry Date and Agreed Expiry Date.

    Actual committee date

Most of our applications are delegated ot the Planning Services Manager to make a final decision. But in some cases, the Planning Commitee will make a decision at a public meeting. This date is when the application is expected to be considered by the Planning Committee. Please note that this date can change at quite short notice.

    Latest neighbour consultation date

In most cases we do not write directly to neighbours. Instead, we put up a site notice and where required we advertise in the local newspaper. Therefore this date is not recorded in our back office system so will usually state 'Not available'.

    Neighbour consultation expiry date

This date is not recorded in our back office system so will always state 'Not available'. Please see our Commenting on an application page for information about deadlines for neighbour comments.
