Searching for applications
View a planning applicationThe Planning Public Access tool gives you several different ways to search for the information you are looking for about a planning application, appeal or enforcement case.
- Simple search - allows you to search for applications, appeals and enforcement cases matching some simple text
- Advanced search - gives you more options to refine your search than the simple search for applications, appeals and enforcement cases
- Weekly/Monthly Lists - search for applications that were received or decided within a particular time period.
Simple search
A simple search allows you to search quickly look for the information you need.
- Go into the Planning Public Access search tool via the button at the top of the page.
- Select 'Simple Search' from the 'Search' drop down list
- Click whether you want to search for 'Applications', 'Appeals' or 'Enforcements'
- Enter some text in the 'Search' box:
- the application number (for example HS/FA/18/00001)
- the postcode (for example TN34 3UY) or
- part of an address (for example Havelock Road or Wellington Square) - Click on the 'Search' button to show the results of your search.
Advanced search
An advance search allows you to be more detailed about the information you require. For example you may want to search for a certain type of application decided within a date range
- Go into the Planning Public Access search tool via the button at the top of the page.
- Select 'Advanced' from the 'Search' drop down list
- Click whether you want to search for 'Applications', 'Appeals' or 'Enforcements'
- Select options relevant to your search
- Click on the 'Search' button to show the results of your search.
Weekly/Monthly lists search
The Weekly/Monthly Lists search allows you to search for information received or decided within specific weeks or months.
- Go into the Planning Public Access search tool via the button at the top of the page.
- Select 'Weekly/Monthly Lists' from the 'Search drop' down list
- Select whether you want 'Weekly List' or 'Monthly List'
- Specify the week or month required from the drop down list
- Select whether you want information for the whole borough or just one ward
- Select whether you want cases 'Validated in this week' (received) or 'Decided in this week'
- When you have made your selections, click 'Search'.
Search Results
You can change the way the search results are displayed:
- Sort by - select an option to re-order the results
- Direction - choose whether the results should be in ascending or descending order
- Results per page - choose how may search results you would like displayed
- When you have made your display selections, click on 'Go'.
Select 'Refine search' If there are too many search results or you did not find what you are looking for. This will give you more options to search by.
To view a search result in detail, click on it's title.
You can select 'Print' if you wish to view the search results in a printable format.
