Draft New Local Plan consultation
Draft Local Plan consultation
In 2021, we asked for your views on the draft Local Plan. Since this Regulation 18 consultation, there have been lots of changes, including the government’s increased housing targets, which means we now need to plan for more homes.
Because of this, the council has decided to run another consultation on an updated draft Local Plan. This will make sure that the final plan reflects the changes since 2021 and the views of the local community.
The comments you shared with us last time have been listened to, and many of these suggestions have helped us to shape the new version which we’ve been working on alongside gathering background information and evidence since that time.
We will be consulting on the new draft Local Plan in February, with plenty of chances for you to learn more and share your views on the future of Hastings.
If you want to be notified by email about the next important stage of the Local Plan and any other planning policy updates, please let us know by signing up.
