Duty to co-operate
Hastings Borough Council is obliged to demonstrate how it has complied with the Duty to Co-operate as now required by Section 33A (1) of the Planning and Compulsory Act 2004 (introduced through the Localism Act 2011).
This document demonstrates that Hastings Borough Council has a high level of cooperation with other authorities, particularly East Sussex County Council and Rother District Council, and summarises how the requirements of the Duty to Co-operate as set out in Regulation 4 of the Town & Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012 have been met.
A supplementary document providing further information was prepared at the request of the Inspector during the Planning Strategy Examination in public.
