How do I submit a planning application?

Planning applications can be submitted to us in the following ways:

Online via the Planning Portal website

This can be accessed by clicking the button above.

You can upload your plans to the application and pay online. Please note that an administration fee will be charged by the Planning Portal which is non-refundable by Hastings Borough Council, even if the application is not valid or withdrawn.

By Email

If you have them electronically, you can email your drawings and forms to us at planning@hastings.gov.uk.

You can download application forms from the Planning Portal without making an online application. We will contact you to take a payment for the application. The fee can be found on our website or you can use the Planning Portal's online fee calculator.

By Post

Alternatively you can submit paper copies of applications by post to Muriel Matters House. If you decide to do this we would require 1 copy of all the documents.
