    Reopening of restaurants and pubs

    The Government has issued Guidance for temporary alcohol licensing for the off sales of alcohol.

    Each premises has a different band value. The fee for each premises licence will depend on the band value of the premises in question. The band values are:

    Band A: No rateable value to £4,300.00
    Band B: £4,301 to £33,000.00
    Band C: £33,001 to £87,000.00
    Band D: £87,001 to £125,000.00
    Band E: £125,001 and above

    Initial fee

    Band A: £100.00
    Band B: £190.00
    Band C: £315.00
    Band D: £450.00
    Band E: £635.00

    Multiplier for Bands D and E for business exclusively or primarily selling alcohol.

    Band D (x 2) application: £900.00
    Band D (x 2) annual charge : £640.00
    Band E (x 3) application: £1,905.00
    Band E (x 3) annual charge: £1,050.00

    Annual Fee

    Each band attracts a different level of annual fee - payable one year after the grant of the licence.

    Band A: £70.00
    Band B: £180.00
    Band C: £295.00
    Band D: £320.00
    Band E: £350.00

    Exceptionally large events

    The Licensing Authorities will also be able to charge an additional premises fee for exceptionally large events:

    5,000 to 9,999 people: £1,000.00
    10,000 to 14,999 people: £2,000.00
    Fees for larger events are available on request.

    Personal Licences, Temporary Events and other fees

    The Licensing Authorities will also be able to charge other fees in relation to their duties, most notably for temporary events and personal licences.

    Personal Licence

    Grant (10 year licence): £37.00
    Renewal: £37.00
    Temporary event notice

    Application: £21.00

    Miscellaneous Charges

    Theft, loss etc of premises licence or summary: £10.50
    Provisional Statement for new premises being built: £315.00
    Notification of change of name or address: £10.50
    Application to vary person as premises supervisor: £23.00
    Transfer of premises licence: £23.00
    Interim authority notice following death of licence holder: £23.00
    Theft, loss etc. of certificate or summary: £10.50
    Notification of change of name or alteration of rules of club: £10.50
    Change of registered address of club: £10.50
    Theft, loss etc. of temporary event notice: £10.50
    Theft, loss etc. of personal licence: £10.50
    Freeholder notification of licensing matters: £21.00
