I want to know if I am eligible for single person discount

A normal council tax bill is based on at least two adults living in a property. You may be able to get 25% off your council tax bill if:

• you live on your own
• the other people in your household are under 18 or not counted as occupiers for council tax, for example, severely mentally impaired.

This reduction is known as a Single Person Discount. Any entitlement to Council Tax Reduction will take into account any Single Person Discount.

You can apply using our "My Accounts - New" section on My Hastings, you must have your council tax reference number to register.
