Guidance on submitting video or photo evidence - Draft Local Plan

How to submit your photo or video evidence 

1. YouTube upload (recommended): The simplest way to send us video evidence is by uploading it to YouTube and sharing the link in your feedback. Both public and private/unlisted links are acceptable (no size limit).

2. By email: You may submit photos or videos by email, subject to standard email size limits. Please send these to fplanning@hastings.gov.uk.

3. Through our consultation portal: Uploads may be submitted via our online consultation portal.

Please note: We cannot accept submissions via file‑transfer services (e.g. WeTransfer, Dropbox, Google Drive).

Information to include with your submission

1. Location: Provide either GPS coordinates, a What3Words reference, or a street name and house number.

2. Description: A brief explanation of what the photo or video shows.

3. Date taken: The day, month, and year the image or video was captured.

If you used a phone or tablet, the coordinates and date are usually available in the image/video “details” or “about” menu.

Safety Reminder

Please do not put yourself at risk of harm or legal consequences when capturing photos or videos. Only record material when it is safe and lawful to do so.
