Consultation to renew to the Hastings Anti-Social Behaviour Public Space Protection Order (ASB PSPO)
This consultation is now closed.
The Hastings Anti-Social Behaviour Public Space Protection Order (ASB PSPO) has been in place since 12 June 2017 and has been reviewed and renewed twice. Its aim is to help prevent anti-social behaviour occurring in key problem and high profile areas of Hastings.
Anti-social behaviour presents itself in many ways that can cause fear, alarm or distress to anyone nearby. The ASB PSPO is now due for a further review in line with national government guidance.
We are proposing to renew the ASB PSPO for a further three years and make a change to the existing ASB PSPO and we want to hear what people think about this.
The proposed change is:
- adding Falaise Gardens and the Bowling Green; Linton Gardens; and an area east of Queens Road including the Wallinger Walk closed graveyard towards Hastings Castle to the alcohol confiscation prohibition area.
The additions to the alcohol confiscation prohibition area are to address anti-social behaviour issues often taking place in those areas.
You can view the current ASB PSPO.
You can view a map of the proposed additional areas for the alcohol confiscation area.

All comments received will be summarised and reported to the next Cabinet meeting in June where councillors will decide whether to renew the ASB PSPO.
