The Stade Open Space
The Stade Open Space is a specifically designed outdoor event area ideally positioned for small to medium size outdoor events in Hastings. This venue is in the Old Town which has the highest footfall of visitors to Hastings, with off-street and on-street car parking close by. It is also easily accessible from Hastings mainline station with direct links to London, Brighton, Gatwick Airport and Ashford International.
The Stade covers 2,000 m2 and is suited to food festivals, art installations, community events, cultural festivities, and intimate musical performances. Hastings Borough Council is delighted to offer the venue for a variety of events. Its numerous electrical and water points offer ease of use in this multi-functional space.
Around two thirds of the open space, and all of Stade Hall, is owned by the Foreshore Trust. As a result, certain restrictions apply to the hire of the site. An entrance fee can only be charged if the site is hired for charitable or not-for-profit organisations. Commercial hires are allowed, but in these cases public access to the site must be free (so it could be hired for, say, a commercial market, or a car demonstration, for which the organisers pay a charge but no entrance fee could be made).
A downloadable scaled site plan is available in the actions bar.
