Help for your home
Information on the Warm Home Check service offered by East Sussex County Council.

Financial support
There are financial schemes that you might be eligible to claim.
East Sussex County Council has a discretionary fund which could help with food and utilities.
Check that you're claiming all the benefits you're entitled to.
Find a warm space
If you need somewhere warm to spend some time, find a venue on the Warm Welcome website.
Food support
Hastings Voluntary Action (HVA) have shared some information about groups and organisations who are offering food support.
Hastings Food Bank
Can be accessed with a voucher. People can ask any agency they are working with or school to raise a voucher if they are in crisis. Hastings Foodbank will then supply seven days of food and other essentials where donations allow.
Hastings Foodbank is open Monday, Wednesday and Fridays 10.30 - 15.00 at The Hastings Centre, The Ridge, Hastings TN34 2SA
They will continue to offer food to people with a voucher throughout the winter period.
Vouchers can be requested from any agency working with residents or from Citizens Advice by calling 01424 869352 between 10am and 12 and leaving their number. Citizens Advice will return their call.
Karmabank
Every Thursday Karmabank prepares and serves a nutritious three-course meal and a bag of shopping to local people.
When: 1 - 3pm ( last lunch served at 2.30pm)
Where: Concordia Hall, Church Rd, St Leonards, TN37 6HB.
They ask for a minimum donation of £1.50
They prepare and cook the meals and fill shopping bags with quality surplus produce from local supermarkets and restaurants.
Karmabank are passionate about reducing food waste, addressing food poverty, championing healthy eating and supporting the community.
