Active Hastings Volunteer Network

The Active Hastings Volunteer Network is the first step for anyone of any age, to start their volunteer journey in sport and physical activity.

What is it?

The network exists to be a one-stop shop, where you can sign up and be sent information on where volunteer opportunities are and what available training is around for your age. Once involved with these opportunities, The Active Hastings Volunteer Network will help support you with a record of progress to continue to support you to help show and prove your volunteer commitment.

The network currently has 40+ volunteers and helps them gain experience working with Active Hastings itself. It's related projects like Street Games and Play Hastings as well as with other volunteer projects and sports organisations. Such as making volunteering at local events more accessible and working closely with Active Sussex to provide access to volunteering at county and national sized events easier also.

Active Hastings Young Volunteer Programme

Aged 14-17? Enjoy Sport? Want to make a difference? Then why not become a Active Hastings Volunteer?

What is it?

Active Hastings is a project that delivers sport at the right time, right place and right style in recognised areas of deprivation. Using sport as a way to engage young people it helps to develop confidence, self-esteem, to build on friendships and build a stronger community.

As a young volunteer you will have the opportunity to support the delivery of the sessions across Hastings and St. Leonards. You can build your own confidence and self-esteem whilst learning from qualified coaches.

The Active Hastings Young volunteers programme will support the individual in attending training and help them access specific sports qualifications as well as helping them with a self-development programme.
