The Play Forum & Youth Network
Terms of Reference:
In January 2016 the Play Forum partnered up to become a larger forum with the Hastings Youth Partnership network. The forum is facilitated by HBC Play Hastings team and Hastings Voluntary Action.
The Forum is a network of voluntary groups and organisations that share an interest in play, children and young people's health, wellbeing and town wide opportunities. The Forum meets to discuss current issues and share information. It aims to take a strategic view of play and youth provision across the town.
Each member of the Forum brings different skills and views to the group and the guidance it provides is invaluable. The Forum also helps to represent the wider community and promotes the importance of sharing best practice and working together towards shared aims. The Forum helps to map local provision and highlight gaps, aims to ensure best use is made of limited resources and that information and youth activity is shared across Hastings and St Leonards. The Forum seeks to involve children, young people and families with decisions that affect them, and act upon needs identified by them.
The Forum helps to monitor and deliver Hastings Borough Council's Play Strategy and Play Space Strategy and partners support the delivery of our annual, large scale Play Day events. The forum also helps to create, monitor and deliver on an agreed Youth Partnership network action plan.
If you would be interested in joining the Forum and/or would be interested in attending meetings or receiving information and minutes from meetings please send your details to Laura Beerling at email@example.com.
