Active Hastings Partnership and Strategy
Active Hastings Partnership
Active Hastings coordinates the local Community Physical Activity Network, which brings health organisations, schools, sport clubs, National Governing Bodies of Sport, the voluntary sector and the private sector to work together, unblock barriers to participation and improve the local sport and physical activity delivery system. This network is known as The Active Hastings Partnership.
The Active Hastings Partnership is made up of organisations who collectively promote the benefits of sport and physical activity. A full list of the organisations who are currently partners and the terms of reference of the partnership are included in Appendix 3 of the Hastings Sport and Physical Activity Strategy. This membership is not static and is constantly evolving as more organisations are encouraged to work collaboratively and become part of the Active Hastings Partnership.
The Partnership's purpose is to co-ordinate the delivery of sport and physical activity in Hastings in order to achieve agreed outcomes. The Partnership links national, regional and local partners to ensure that national learning, campaigns and funding are all utilised in the borough to increase physical activity levels amongst our residents. The partnership also aims to raise the profile of local work at a regional and national level.
