About the Priory Street Car Park development

Hastings Borough Council is working on development options for the Priory Street multi-storey car park and adjacent areas.

Options studies for both projects show a considerable financial challenge for the council and the need for additional government support and assistance. To this extent the council has received interest from Homes
England to regenerate the town centre.

Homes England have given the following statement regarding the project:

"Homes England are working with Hastings Borough Council to understand the opportunities that exist and exploring how Homes England can use its resources to  support Hastings’ regeneration ambitions, as part of the agency’s support for the government’s levelling up ambitions."
