Hastings Remembers :- Holocaust Memorial Day 2021

Hastings would normally have hosted its annual Holocaust Memorial Day event on Saturday 30 January this year; but because of the COVID pandemic, it will be a virtual event, accessible through the Hastings Borough Council website and will be launched at 1100 on International Holocaust Memorial Day itself, Wednesday 27 January.
This year's event will have as its theme 'Be the light in the darkness'. It will include the Acromax Performance Group working with Ark Alexandra Academy, the St Richard's College choir and dancers, the BISC (Queens University - Canada) chamber choir, Cllr Kim Forward, leader of Hastings Borough Council, Sally-Ann Hart MP for Hastings and Rye, Dr Patrick Deane, Principal and Vice-Chancellor, Queen's University Canada.
The event has been organised by Dr Shelley Katz with the support of Hastings Borough Council.Published 18/01/2021
