Funding available to make a difference in the most deprived areas of Hastings and Bexhill
Published 21/09/2020
Connecting Hastings and Rother Together (CHART) is looking to help organisations that have new and innovative ways to help people back into jobs, or to support businesses in the current pandemic. It wants to support projects that bring a fresh approach to tackling deep-rooted problems in deprived communities within Hastings and Bexhill.
Cllr Colin Fitzgerald, deputy leader of Hastings Borough Council, said,
"Connecting Hastings and Rother Together is seeking expressions of interest from organisations to create projects that will help people across Hastings and Rother find and keep jobs. Projects that offer employability support with a strong focus on over 50's and those with disabilities are currently under represented within the programme.
"We are also looking for projects to support businesses to thrive and grow during this economically difficult time and to support budding entrepreneurs to start their own businesses.
"The call is now open, and funding will be allocated on a first come, first served basis - so contact the CHART team with your project idea.
"CHART already has ten exciting projects about to begin and is looking forward to hearing from more innovative projects that will benefit the most deprived communities in Hastings and Bexhill."
