Published 21/10/2020
The Foreshore Trust is taking applications for its fourth grant programme for 2020-21. The programme combines the small grants programme and the events grant programme. The call for applications is now open.
The programme will offer grants of up to £6000.
Voluntary and community groups offering services or activities or running events in Hastings and St. Leonards are eligible to apply.
For this round, any proposed events in an application must consider given current, ongoing and any anticipated future Government guidance in relation to COVID-19.
Cllr Margi O'Callaghan, chair of the Foreshore Trust and Charity Committee said,
"A wide range of activities were awarded grants in the last round of COVID-19 focused funding including:
- A programme which offers professional counselling for social care workers
- A music mentoring project for young people
- A virtual café for carers
- Small necessities, a programme which provides starter packs of kitchen utensils and personal hygiene necessities to previously homeless or resettled families and individuals.
"So, if you have an activity in mind that needs some financial help, please send us an application. Given the tricky year we've all had, we're looking forward to supporting some great community and voluntary groups."
For an application pack and grant application guidance, please email Foreshore-SE@hastings.gov.uk.
The programme closes for applications closes at noon on 3 December.
