Final Mayor's awards given out

Cllr James Bacon, Mayor of Hastings for 2022-23, has given his final Mayor's Awards to the Tidy Up St Leonards and Clean Up Hastings community groups.

Certificates were presented to John Funnell, Trevor Thwaites and Stefan Spence from Tidy Up St Leonards and Rosie Murphy from Clean Up Hastings.

Cllr Bacon said: "I have really enjoyed being able to recognise the dedication of residents and community groups in my time as Mayor of Hastings. We are lucky to have so many people who are willing to give up their time to help and support our community. The teams of volunteers who work with Tidy Up St Leonards and Clean Up Hastings do a great job in helping to keep our town looking at its best, so it was an honour to give them this award."
