November Cabinet meeting

The council’s Cabinet will meet on Monday 9 November to discuss a range of reports.

The agenda will cover financial updates, including fees and charges for 2027-28, a report on the external funding we have received for heritage and leisure work and an update on the Age Friendly strategy.

Cllr Glenn Haffenden, leader of the council, said: “These reports cover a range of service areas, and show the breadth of work being done by the council’s officers. We are pleased to be proposing freezing many of our fees and charges to help residents with the increasing cost of living.

“It is excellent news that we have been successful in receiving so much external funding to invest in sport, heritage and leisure assets contributing to resident health and wellbeing as well as heritage led regeneration. It's important that these benefits are felt by all ages so I am also pleased to see the Age Friendly Strategy coming to life.”

Questions for Cabinet must now be submitted before the meeting to give more people the chance to ask questions rather than having to attend in-person. These must be sent before 5pm on Monday 2 November. Please submit them online or email the Monitoring Officer.

You can read the full reports for Cabinet and watch the Cabinet meeting online from 6pm or attend in person at Muriel Matters House from 5.45pm.
