Bookings now open for Active Hastings’ free Easter activities.
Published 11/03/2026

This Easter, Active Hastings are offering free activities and food as part of their Easter Activities and Food Programme, where children can enjoy sports, team games and arts and crafts.
The fully funded multi-sports, arts and craft sessions take place on Tuesday 31 March and Wednesday 1 April at The St Leonards Academy. These sessions are for young people (aged 7-14) in receipt of benefit-related free school meals. The jam-packed sessions are a fantastic way for young people to try their hand at new sports or get crafty with the dedicated crafts team. Activities vary daily, examples include dodgeball, archery, tennis, football, basketball, team challenges, garden games, Easter crafts and much more!
Councillor Glenn Haffenden, leader of the council and lead councillor for sport and leisure, said: “We are delighted to bring back the Easter Holidays Activities and Food programme this year. These sessions not only give children the chance to come together, so they can stay active over the Easter break and have fun with their friends, old and new, they can also enjoy a nutritious lunch.
“The sessions are part of the Government’s Holiday Activities and Food programme, which enables children to enjoy free fun activities and learn and develop new skills.”
Spaces are limited, so booking is essential. Book your free space and free meal.
