Tackling fraud

It's our duty to do everything we can to make sure your hard-earned council tax money is not stolen through any of the many different types of fraud.

Our Anti Fraud Policy states our commitment to ensure the proper accountability of public funds, and our Confidential Reporting Policy describes how we deal with reports of fraud and corruption.

You may have seen the national benefits fraud campaign in the press or on television and we're playing our part in tackling benefits fraud locally.

If you think that someone is committing fraud of any kind, you should report your suspicions to us.  Any information you give will be dealt with in the strictest confidence.
