Water and power disruption
If you are concerned about disruption to your electrical or water supply, or if you lose either your water or electrical supply during an emergency, you may find the information below helpful.
The UK Power Networks provide up-to-date information about electrical supply. If you or someone you know has a condition which makes them particularly vulnerable during a power cut, it is also possible to join the UK Power Networks Priority Services Register.
Calling 105 will now put you through to your local electricity network operator - the company that manages the cables, power lines and substations that deliver electricity into homes and businesses in your area.
Southern Water publishes guidance on coping with water emergencies. They also have advice on what to do if there is a flood.
