What is a Disabled Facilities Grant?

A Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) is a form of financial assistance, of up to £30,000 available from local authorities. It is a means-tested grant that enables homeowners or tenants (private and housing association) to have adaptations to their homes, to give better freedom of movement and to give access to essential facilities within the home.
