Licensing Act 2003
Early engagement with HBC and Sussex Police will help establish if your event requires a Premises Licence or a Temporary Event Notice (TEN) under the Licensing Act 2003.
Licensable activities include:
- the provision of regulated entertainment - plays, films, live music, recorded music, dancing
- the provision of late night refreshment (the sale of hot food or drink between 11pm and 5am)
- the sale/supply of alcohol
If your event involves activities that require a licence, and your premises is not already licensed, temporary event notice (TEN) or Premises Licence may be required.
