Firefighting

You should provide equipment for putting out small fires (e.g., fire extinguishers, fire blankets) throughout the site. Make sure that stewards know where the equipment is and how to use it. They should not attempt to fight major fires.

The East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (ESFRS) should be called at once to any fire, suspected or real, however slight by calling 999.

If you have any structures and materials at your event then a fire safety risk assessment should be carried out, in line with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

All fabrics used at your event should be flame retardant.
