    Event Control is required for all large events. It should be constantly staffed during the event and provided with a telephone.

    Event Control undertakes the following:

    • Monitoring the event continuously, giving an early indication of any problems;
    • Logging of all communications
    • Control of any incidents;
    • Directing resources to deal with problems.
    • Provides the base for all multi-agency communications
