How do I find a reputable tattooist or skin piercer?
Are they registered?
Registration certificates of both the premises and artists should be on display in the studio. All premises used for skin piercing activities must be registered as must the artists carrying out the skin piercing.
What are the risks of unlicensed skin piercing?
Body tattoos are permanent, but that is not the only risk attached to them. If you get tattooed by unlicensed or unqualified parlours, there are high chances of excess blood loss or an infection.
Getting a tattoo or skin piercing by someone in their own home who is not registered can lead to serious problems and even hospitalization. Therefore, it is extremely important to find a tattooist that works in a clean and licensed tattoo shop or ensure that the artist is properly registered.
