Moving home

Our My Account Section of My Hastings must be used for any change of address.  This can also be used if you have or are moving to the town from outside of the area:

If you're moving within Hastings:

I'm moving from one address to another in Hastings

When we receive the form we'll close your old account and send you a bill for any amount you still owe. If you've overpaid, the credit will be transferred to your new account. Your new bill will tell you what your new instalments will be

You're new to Hastings:

I'm moving to Hastings from another town or you've never had a council tax account before (for example moving out of a family home in Hastings)

You must tell us the date that you are moving to your new property or have moved to Hastings as soon as possible. Council tax payments for the financial year must be paid by 31 March so the earlier you tell us, the sooner we will send you a bill and the more time you will have to pay it. If you are moving into Hastings, don't forget to tell your old council that you've moved.

Leaving Hastings:

I'm moving out of Hastings if you are moving out of the borough of Hastings.

You must tell us the date that you are moving out of the borough. Council tax payments for the financial year must be paid by 31 March so the earlier you tell us, the sooner we will send you a bill and the more time you will have to pay it. If you are moving into Hastings, don't forget to tell your old council that you've moved.
