Hastings Neighbourhood Watch
Hastings & St Leonards has an active Neighbourhood Watch run by volunteers in close partnership with the council and the police.
The Neighbourhood Watch is part of the Safer Hastings Partnership, and the chair attends regular Hastings Joint Action Group meetings which bring together a wider network of agencies who have an interest in crime prevention and community safety in the area.
There are around 80 'watches' across the borough, each with a lead street co-ordinator, sometimes known as a 'deliverer' because they circulate relevant messages and crime prevention advice to their neighbours.
Once the scheme is set up, the street coordinator receives information from the Police and Neighbourhood Watch by E-mail, to pass to members.
Members who do not have access to E-mail can receive paper copies.
All residents are encouraged to quickly feed back any information of criminal or suspicious activity. They also look out for each other generally, and give a helping hand when this is appropriate.
Please find the contact details below for Hastings & St Leonards Neighbourhood Watch.
Get in touch if you are interested in becoming a member or playing a more active role in your community by becoming a local Neighbourhood watch co-ordinator.
