Richard Watson (NHS Hastings and Rother Clinical Commissioning Group)
Since 1998, I have lived and worked in Hastings and Rother. I have a proven track record of involving and listening to individuals, organisations and our communities having worked for registered social landlords, East Sussex County Council and the NHS.
I have used robust programme management skills to lead NHS Hastings and Rother Clinical Commissioning Group’s (CCG) award winning Healthy Hastings and Rother (HHR) programme, which aims to reduce health inequalities in the most deprived communities of Hastings and Rother. I am a confident member and chair of multi-agency partnerships where a range of diverse organisations and individual interests are addressed. For example, I currently represent the CCG at the Hastings and Rother Local Strategic Partnerships, the Hastings Opportunity Area’s (HOA) Partnership Board and I chair HOA’s mental health and resilience working group.
I think that it is of paramount importance that initiatives such as CHART, HHR and the HOA align and add value to other. I believe that my extensive commissioning experience and leadership qualities will prove to be of significant benefit to CHART; therefore I would like to be considered for the position of Chair or Vice Chair or member of CHART’s EDG.
