Carole Dixon (Education Futures Trust)
As an educationalist who has worked across primary, secondary and adult learning, I moved from working with schools and local authorities to the EAZ and then the Excellence Cluster, in order to achieve my passion to improve the life chances of children, families and vulnerable adults in our town. At the close of the Excellence Cluster, I transferred to lead the Education Futures Trust, and I am proud of what has been achieved since its inception. Having lived and worked in Hastings for thirty years, I believe that learning, in its broadest sense, provides the route out of poverty and gives hope for the future.
I value partnership working. I believe that working together as a community is the best way for ensuring that local voices are heard and respected. We can make a difference as our influence becomes a reality. By collaborating, we increase the power of all partners and share each other’s successes. As such I am pleased to be a member of the Local Advisory Group and to have the opportunity to enable the CLLD programme to have impact in our community.
