Cultural Strategy

Hastings is currently working on a bid for the Town of Culture 2028, which is being developed by Arts Hastings CIC.

An Expression of Interest was submitted to the government on 31 March 2026, with shortlisted places expected to be announced in late Spring 2026. Each shortlisted town will receive a £60,000 grant to support the development of a full application.

There are also plans to develop a cultural strategy for the town in the future.
