Collection information

Please present your container on your collection day by 7am - In twin bin areas the correct bin needs to be presented, unobstructed, on the pavement or within 1 metre of your property boundary. In weekly collection areas your bags or seagull proof sack need to be presented on the pavement, do not leave them tied or hung on railings, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed with Hastings Borough Council.

Please also ensure that your rubbish is contained within the bin. Any excess rubbish will not be collected.

For household waste, please ensure your rubbish is contained within general refuse bags, such as a black sack or bin liner, before placing in your bins.

Extra recycling can be placed outside next to your bin in a suitable box or bag (not a black sack) and we will collect it.

If you order a new recycling container, you will now be delivered a green bin.

If the collection crews are unable to gain access due to road works, adverse weather, or for any other reason, they will return as soon as possible. In this instance please leave your containers out until they are emptied. You can contact us on 01424 451077 to check when re-collection will be attempted or email us to report the issue within 24 hours of your normal collection date.
