    japanese knotweed

Japanese Knotweed is an invasive, non-native species which is now established in the wild. Vigorous growth can damage buildings and hard surfaces as well as causing problems for native wildlife.

Hastings Borough Council has a spraying schedule in place for areas to be sprayed three times a year for the treatment of Japanese Knotweed only on its own land. Complete eradication can take 5 years.

If you would like to report Japanese knotweed on Council land, email parks@hastings.gov.uk
