St Leonards incident

Update 12.55pm - Sussex Police will be continuing to provide the latest updates on the incident on their website and social media. 

Update 11.30am - Hastings Borough Council has set up a rest centre for displaced residents at the Royal Victoria Hotel, east of the cordon. There are 42 households at the hotel who are currently impacted by the evacuation, some of these are with dogs and children. All residents at the hotel are being offered support by the council's rest centre staff. If there are any further residents who have been impacted by the incident, they should head to the Royal Victoria to the rest centre. We expect to be able to share a further update after 1pm.
