Mayor's Awards handed out

Three residents were given the Mayor's Award at the Full Council meeting on Wednesday 8 February.

Andrew Colquhoun was nominated by Hastings' councillors for his years of voluntary service on the Grants Advisory Panel.

Jenny and Donna Bloomfield were recognised for organising an annual Christmas tree festival for the community.

Cllr James Bacon, Mayor of Hastings, said: "I am always delighted to give out these awards to the deserving and hard-working members of our community. Andrew has given many, many, hours to the Grants Advisory Panel who are responsible for determining where funding from the Foreshore Trust is spent in the community. Jenny and Donna have been organising their Christmas tree event since 2020 and there were around 175 Christmas trees on display in 2022. I'd like to thank all three of these for their dedication to their communities."
