Free weight management courses with Active Hastings

Active Hastings are encouraging residents to prioritise their health and wellbeing with their free face-to-face weight management course Lean In To It, designed to support local residents in achieving their health goals.
Lean In To It is a friendly and supportive 12 week course, open to men and women aged 18 and over, who live in Hastings or the surrounding areas and have a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or above.
Delivered in person by Heidi, the Active Hastings Adult Weight Management Instructor, the programme focuses on practical, achievable lifestyle changes that can make a real difference.
Spaces for this highly popular free course are limited and interested residents are urged to book their free place today to avoid disappointment.
Heidi Tambeh, Active Hastings Adult Weight Management Instructor said; “Our weight management courses are designed to help you create sustainable, healthy habits for everyday life. We don’t just look at what you eat, we explore all the factors that influence your eating, including emotional status, stress, family responsibilities, self-care, work/life balance and everyday habits.”

Lean In To It starts on Wednesday 22 April, 7 to 8.30pm at Ark Alexandra (William Parker site), booking is essential. This course is supported by the Hastings and St Leonards Primary Care Network.
Active Hastings is hosted by Hastings Borough Council, in partnership with East Sussex County Council, and brings together a wide range of local and national partners to ensure that everyone in Hastings can get active.

Active Hastings works closely with local providers of physical activity to give you easy, fun ways to get your everyday dose of physical activity. It only takes 30 minutes a day for adults and 60 a day for children to get fitter, healthier and happier. You can even break it down into 10 minute slots!
Active Hastings coordinates the local Community Physical Activity Network, which brings together schools, sport clubs, National Governing Bodies of Sport, health organisations, the voluntary sector and the private sector to work together, unblock barriers to participation and improve the local sport and physical activity delivery system.
