Hottest day ever recorded in Hastings

Perhaps not surprisingly, Hastings Borough Council's volunteer meteorologists have confirmed that yesterday, Tuesday 19 July, was the hottest day ever recorded in Hastings.
The (shade) daytime temperature yesterday peaked at 34.7°C, half a degree hotter than the previous high of 34.2°C, recorded on 25 July 2019.
