Hastings Museum & Art Gallery has a whole range of fun exhibitions and activities planned for the February half term.

On Saturday 17 February, between 10am and 4pm, there is a free Relics Roadshow at the museum. The roadshow will provide a chance to find out about local history, fossil and archaeological discoveries and have finds and treasures identified by experts. Local organisations and museum staff will be on hand to chat about these discoveries.

There is also The Ellen Prebble Exhibition, the first solo show of work by the Hastings-based artist. Drawing on influences from the natural world to pop culture, and with a practice ranging from painting to sculpture, Ellen creates familiar scenes in minute detail and bold colours. The exhibition is on display until Sunday 14 April. Curated in partnership with Project Art Works, who collaborate with people with complex support needs, their families, and circles of support. Challenging ideas of inclusion, through practical and holistic support, film, events, projects, and exhibitions.

Another exhibition to enjoy until 24 March is Sinéid Codd's A Fuller Acquaintance with the Archipelago. Including photographs, paintings, and model islands. These fossilised and cast islands are made from objects that have been found and provoke reflections on our community and climate change.

Planetarium also returns to the museum, with shows on Tuesday 13, Wednesday 14 and Thursday 15 February from 10am. £3.90 per person taking part, suitable for ages five and over. Step inside the mini celestial theatre and discover the magical experience within. Book online through the HMAG website (limited tickets still available).

Cllr Julia Hilton, lead councillor for culture, said: "There is always something fun and thought provoking happening at Hastings Museum & Art Gallery, and this half term is no exception. You can find out more about the exhibitions and activities planned on the museum's website."
