Please can you provide an estimate for the costs incurred by your council for mayoral election preparations for May 2026, which are now delayed until May 2028?
Background:
On Thursday 4th December, the government confirmed that mayoral elections in the newly created mayoralties (Greater Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk, Hampshire and the Solent, and Sussex and Brighton) which were due to take place in May 2026, have now been delayed until May 2028.
