Communication with HBC on the topic of Al-Mawasi from 01/01/2019 - 18/11/2025

Responded Fri 23 January 2026I request, as a matter of public interest, to be provided with details of written communication to and from Hastings Borough Council on the topic of Al-Mawasi.
I am specifically enquiring about the organisation known as Hastings Friends of Al-Mawasi; or Friends of Al-Mawasi or the Resilience Committee in Al-Mawasi, Gaza; or any other name for the same organisation (jointly referred to herein as FoAM).
To cover the period from and including 1st January 2019 to date (18 November 2025), I should like to be provided please with:- The names of all Hastings Borough Council (HBC) councillors involved, in any way, with FoAM.
- Copies of all communications - letters, emails, agendas, minutes, documents, bank statements, notes of phone calls - between HBC officers and FoAM; HBC officers and anyone connected with FoAM; and also between HBC officers and HBC councillors concerning FoAM.
- Copies of all internal memos between HBC officers and also between HBC officers and HBC councillors concerning FoAM.
- Written information about anything HBC knows, or ought reasonably to know, concerning FoAM or anyone connected with FoAM.
- Aside from the generality of the above, specifically all communications (as listed above) between those set out above regarding the motion proposed and passed at the HBC full council meeting on 16th July 2025 to twin Hastings with Al-Mawasi.

Hastings Borough Council have not been in any form of communication with Hastings friends of Al-Mawasi; or Friends of Al-Mawasi or the Resilience Committee in Al-Mawasi, Gaza: or any other name for the same organisation 9jointly referred to herein as FoAM).
Councillors are not covered by the Freedom of Information Act as they are not a public authority in their own right, therefore, are exempt from the Act.
To cover the period from and including 1st January 2019 to date (18 November 2025), I should like to be provided please with:
-The names of all Hastings Borough Council (HBC) councillors involved, in any way, with FoAM
