- How many inspections have been completed in private rented properties by the council?
- How many enforcement/improvement notices have been served by the council because of these inspections?
- Were any demolition orders made by the council subsequently because of these investigations?
- Does the council have any further comments to make regarding these figures?

1.How many households in private rented properties have approached the council to report disrepair in their homes?
Answer:
2023 = 304
2024 = 276
2025 = 208 (to date 19/11/25)
2.How many inspections have been completed in private rented properties by the council?
Answer:
2023 = 48
2024 = 94
2025 = 62 (to date 19/11/25)
3.How many enforcement/improvement notices have been served by the council because of these inspections?
Answer:
2023 = 24
2024 = 44
2025 = 27 (to date 19/11/25)
4.Were any demolition orders made by the council subsequently because of these investigations?
Answer: None
5.Does the council have any further comments to make regarding these figures?
Answer: Hastings Borough Council will triage and review complaints made alongside evidence from any HHSRS inspections /HMO inspections carried out.
