FOI request (FOIR-764648711)
SEND Contact
Requested Tue 11 November 2025
Responded Wed 19 November 2025I am reaching out to enquire about the best way to share free educational music resources with schools in your area, particularly those supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Our project, 'Singy SEND Hub', creates songs specifically designed to help children with SEND understand emotions, practise calming strategies, and build empathy through music. Two of our current songs, 'Regulate' and 'Kind Hands' align closely with frameworks such as the 'Zones of Regulation' and broader social–emotional learning approaches used in UK schools.
Our goal is to make these resources freely available to schools to support inclusion, communication, and wellbeing among children with additional needs. We believe these materials could complement existing SEND and wellbeing programmes, helping teachers deliver important emotional regulation tools in an engaging and accessible way.
Could you please advise on the best route to share these resources with schools in your area, for example, through the council’s SEND or education communications channels, resource libraries, or teaching networks?
Additionally, under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, could you please provide the email contact details for the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) at each school within your local authority area? This information will be used solely for the purpose of sharing free, educational SEND resources with schools.
