Allotment rental procedure and policy

Please supply under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act any document, or link to any document, which is:

1. Guidance to officers on how to set an allotment rental taking into account the duty to have regard to Section 10 of the Allotments Act 1950 (firstly ‘allotment shall be let at such a rent as a tenant may reasonably be expected to pay..’, and secondly remit rent in certain circumstances).

2. The most recent report to members on increasing allotment rents.

Response

1. Rents are subject to annual inflation increases as set out in the tenancy agreement for plot holders and agreed annually by the Council's Cabinet and Full Council.

2. The most recent report to councillors regarding proposed fees and charges for all council facilities, including allotments is the annual budget report.
