I am writing to request the following information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000:

1. A copy of the official policies, procedures, or internal guidance documents used by Environmental Health officers at Hastings Borough Council for:

a. Assessing and reviewing recordings obtained from Noise Nuisance Recorder (NNR) equipment.

b. Determining whether a statutory noise nuisance exists based on such recordings.

c. Cross-referencing noise diaries submitted by complainants with the recorded audio evidence.

2. Any documentation or manuals provided to Environmental Health staff relating to:

a. The use and operation of Trojan NNR equipment.

b. Training materials or criteria for identifying and evaluating structure-borne or impact noise.

3. Any policy or procedure outlining when and how the subject of a noise investigation (for example, the neighbouring tenant) is notified of the use of NNR equipment, either before, during, or after installation.

4. The procedure and equipment for measuring and recording structure-borne noise nuisance.
