Responded Wed 31 October 2018- Since October 2014 has the council introduced a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) which prohibits begging? If so, please specify the number of PSPOs and the date they were implemented.
- If PSPOs have been introduced by the council since October 2014 how many fixed penalty notices (FPNs) have been issued in regards to begging? If possible, please provide a breakdown per calendar year, including 2018.
- Of the FPNs issued in regards to begging how many have been paid? If possible, please provide a breakdown per calendar year, including 2018.
Response
Q1 - In June 2017 Hastings Borough Council introduced a Borough wide prohibition on aggressive begging as part of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 The Public Spaces Protection Order
Q2 - 1 FPN has been issued so far for aggressive begging in October 2018
Q3 - This 1 FPN has not yet been paid
