Taxi garage licensing details

Responded Thu 02 July 2026a) the name and address of each MOT garage which is authorised to carry out compliance tests of taxis and private hire vehicles for your council
b) the address of testing station
c) the contractor's registered company number where available
d) the full name of the director/partner/sole trader, where available

Response
Hastings Borough Council currently do not do compliance testing in addition to the standard MOT.
There are no restrictions or testing undertaken other than the MOT. Drivers can choose any garage provided they are registered to complete MOT's.
Cars over 5 years have 2 MOT's a year 6 months apart.
