Council award ceremonies

This is an information request relating to award ceremonies either attended or hosted by the council.

Please include the following information:

1. For the 2022-23, 2023-24, 2024-25 financial years did the council attend any award ceremonies, either national or local, but not including those hosted by the council?

2. For each award ceremony attended please provide the following information:

a. The name of the award ceremony.

b. The date(s) of the award ceremony.

c. How many council officers or councillors attended the ceremony?

d. The cost to the council of attending the ceremony, including travel, accommodation, cost of the ceremony itself, expenses, and sponsorship.

e. Information packs from the ceremony, notably including menus.

f. Any photos from the ceremony.

3. For the 2022-23, 2023-24, 2024-25 financial years did the council host any award ceremonies?

4. For each ceremony hosted please provide the following information:

a. The cost the council, after sponsorships, tickets and any other revenue raised is accounted for.

b. The name of the ceremony.

c. The date of the ceremony.

d. Information packs from the ceremony, notably including menus.

e. Any photos from the ceremony.

Hosted ceremonies:

2022-23 Order of 1066 Award, 14th October 2022. No information packs or menu. Photograph taken for the winner, for personal use and press release only. Cost £405.66 which included award, brass plate engraving and refreshments.

2023-24 Order of 1066 Award, 14th October 2023. No information packs or menu. Photograph taken for the winner, for personal use and press release only. Cost £440 which included award and brass plate engraving.

2024-25 Order of 1066 Award, 14th October 2024. No information packs or menu. Photograph taken for the winner, for personal use and press release only. Cost £450 which included award and brass plate engraving.

Active Hastings

Attendance at awards ceremonies:

2023 Sussex Sports Awards, 29th November 2023 at Sussex County Cricket Ground. Cost £22.50 for one ticket (others free). 5x members of the Active Hastings team attended.

2024 Sussex Sports Awards, 28th November 2024 at Sussex County Cricket Ground. Cost £23 for one ticket (other free). 6x members of the Active Hastings team attended.

LTA Tennis Sussex Awards, 9th February at The Amex Stadium 3-6pm. Free. Train ticket £15.70.
